Towards the Shadow, the third full-length from Wume, the Baltimore duo of April Camlin (drums, vocals) and Albert Schatz (keyboards, electronics), offers eight exploratory, polyrhythmic jams taking the listener on an excursion deep into inner space. It announces a new phase for the band, distilling such influences as Francis Bebey, Midori Takada, Erkin Koray, and Alice Coltrane. However, Wume's sound remains rooted in crisp percussion worthy of comparison to Can, wedded to harmonic synths and kaleidoscopic textures. Towards the Shadow also centralizes vocals more than any prior Wume outing. Camlin's lyrics grapple head-on with deep philosophical issues probed during an intense period of reading, self-teaching, and focus on her artistic practice in weaving. I love them but pockets tear easily

I love them. They look nice and they are comfortable. I bought a total of three and they're all I wear in the summer.
Unfortunately the strap pockets wear out easily. On my left pocket I store a ridge wallet and my keys. For two of my most worn pair, the strap tore up to where it no longer holds the pocket closed properly. On one of those in the same pocket, a hole ended up torn in the corner. The third one I had to throw out after it shrunk after being washed improperly (can't wash them like I did my previous shorts which I washed the same way as the rest of my clothes).
I think I'll continue to wear them, maybe even buy one more, until I find something better.

Pocket and ability to hook my speaker to

Great shorts

Ideal for everyday wear. I got 3 pairs before even trying them & I must say, they are really good. The pocket zippers get caught every now & then, but easy enough to correct. They look decent, easy wash & dry quickly, comfortable, plenty of pockets. Great buy for the price.

Great Shorts! bad zippers.
Size: 36, Color: A-dark Grey
1st off these are basically swim trunks. I like the design of the shorts and the appearance, they are very lightweight and quick drying and overall serve all of MY purposes. If you're buying them for secure front pockets that close with the zippers just don't buy them. The zippers on the front "cargo" spot of the shorts broke on the second wearing. If you have nothing better to do than try to fix them by all means they can be fixed short term and then eventually they just separate again. The pockets work fine (they are ALL mesh lined pockets) for just putting stuff in them but securing them (at least in the case of the pair i am wearing right now) isn't an option with the zippers. That said the fly itself hasn't failed me. The back pockets have ONE velcro closure on the inside so you can reach into them easily without two velcro closures to fight with which i think is a good design.
