Moonlit Pond, Foggy Moonlit Night, Fused Glass Necklace, aqua blue, silverThe item listed is a fused glass necklace that was handcrafted in my studio in Washington, NJ. This necklace was created by using a combination of glass fusing techniques. The glass was cut and then a silver foil moon was placed in between the layers before heating in a kiln to fully fuse the glass. The item listed is a fused glass necklace that was handcrafted in my studio in Washington, NJ.

This necklace was created by using a combination of glass fusing techniques. The glass was cut and then a silver foil moon was placed in between the layers before heating in a kiln to fully fuse the glass. The leafy frame was created using an enamel mixture that I fused ahead of time and then sponge painted to give it a foggy glow.  

After firing the piece was then cut using a ring saw and sanded on a grinder. I then used different mixtures of enamel to add the bird, the fence and the moonlit shimmer on the pond. Finally, it was put in the kiln again to be fire polished in order to set the enamel and give the piece a final shine.

This necklace was very hard to photograph because it is so smooth and shiny that there was a lot of glare and reflection.  Please look at all photos to get the best idea of the look of the piece.

This necklace is approximately 1 1/8 inch X 1 5/8 inches and includes a 18 inch silver plated snake chain. It will ship in a lovely gift box with an organza ribbon.
