The Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino 2024 is produced primarily from younger vines within the estate’s prized Canalicchio and Montosoli crus, vineyards that also contribute to the estate’s acclaimed Brunello di Montalcino wines. First produced in 1975, this Rosso serves as the estate’s calling card, offering an accessible yet serious expression of its terroir and winemaking philosophy. Fermented in stainless steel and matured for approximately one year in a combination of Slavonian and French oak, the wine balances freshness with depth and complexity.
The 2024 vintage reflects the elegance of the growing season, delivering bright fruit, vibrant acidity and remarkable precision. Aromatically expressive and finely structured, it captures the essence of Sangiovese through its interplay of red fruits, spice and mineral nuances.
