Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, every square centimetre of this large bronze boar sculpture has been worked by hand. The hide is rendered with fine tooling throughout, coarse fur texture building across the flanks and shoulders in layers of controlled detail. The patina is a deep, heavy green verdigris overall, the kind of surface character that takes years to develop naturally outdoors but is achieved here through controlled chemical finishing in the studio. Against this aged green ground, the curved upward-sweeping tusks and facial details retain warm golden-brown bronze tones, a deliberate contrast that draws the eye to the animal's most defining features. The handcrafted bronze wildlife statue sits on a large flat rectangular plinth in polished dark grey granite with chamfered edges, a base that grounds the composition without competing with the sculpture itself.
